Espanola council wants pricing on splash pad before approval

Espanola council has deferred approving construction of a splash pad until a cost estimate including possible grant availability can be presented to them for consideration.

The Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee’s second recommendation that the splash pad be located at Sherwood Park was accepted.

A 2,500 to 3,000-square foot splash pad that will accommodate 25 to 30 children at any given time will be the focus of the final design stage, as well as the cost of amenities, hard services and construction preparation.
