Health Sciences North had a special delivery this week.
The new state-of-the-art MRI scanner has arrived after travelling thousands of kilometres via air and ground transport from Germany.
A large crane lowered it into the newly completed MRI suite through an opening in the hospital roof.
Once the MRI is operational this fall, patients will have access to high-quality scans, faster scan times and overall improved experience.
The $7 million piece of equipment and retrofits was raised through the Unlock the Potential MRI Fundraising Campaign carried out over the last few years.
