One of Manitoulin Island’s longest run events has returned offering both in person and virtual celebrations of community and the harvest.
The 138th running of the Providence Bay Fair takes place this weekend.
The fun stuff is already underway with the Family Look- Alike Contest and exhibits filling the hall featuring art work, fresh produce and more.
There are several family events including the soap box derby, Amazing Race and talent show.

The Amazing Race is dedicated to a young fair enthusiast who was taken from us far too soon.
The race will take place on Sunday, August 22 and will begin at 10am from the ball field beside the arena. Register your team at https://provfair.corsizio.com/ When booking, you are booking one vehicle per team. Your team is made up of as many you can safely, and legally, fit in your vehicle. Please bring work gloves, a full tank of gas and a good sense of direction. Clues will lead you across Central Manitoulin where fun awaits!
