John Vanthof, the MPP for Timiskaming-Cochrane, says Ontario has finally caught up with other provinces with off road vehicle laws. The New Democrat says the Wynne Liberals are announcing new rules where ATV’s like side-by-sides and two-ups can drive on highway shoulders. Vanthof has pushed for the change through a Private Member’s Bill and says its passage is a victory for northerners. He says with the change, people can now use the off road vehicles to get to work sites without being charged for being on the shoulder.
