Panache Lake Road closure

The Town of Espanola is preparing to install a new bridge and that means a road closure for residents and cottage owners in the Panache Lake area.

According to the release, Panache Lake Road will be closed to all traffic at Black Creek Bridge in Espanola at 8:00 am next Tuesday August 3rd for a maximum duration of 72 hours.
The road will be reopened to traffic by 8:00 am Friday August 6th.

The closure is required for Belanger Construction Limited to remove the existing bridge and replace it with a prefabricated steel bridge.

Since there is no other access, residents and cottage owners must plan for the closure.

Emergency services have also been notified and will provide limited service due to the lack of access to properties beyond the bridge.

The bridge is being replaced at a cost of $428,120 plus tax with the funding coming from reserves.
