A Manitoulin Island First Nation has created a mobile communications app for its members.
Sheshegwaning First Nation Chief Dean Roy says the band’s administration partnered with Aivia Design & Technology Engineering to produce a custom mobile application.
He adds the pandemic and accompanying lockdown measures presented the band with a strong reason to move more of their communications online to reach members with vital information no matter where they are, at any time.
He adds the technology also allows administration to collect information directly from their membership using fillable forms and surveys.
The official Sheshegwaning First Nation app is available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
