Lottery to honour late player and raise funds for Elliot Lake Red Wings

The Elliot Lake Red Wings plan to drop up to 3,000 golf balls off the cliff at the Elliot Lake Stoney Ridge Golf Course.
The event is also being held to honour the late Connor Peltier-Commanda of Serpent River First Nation who played with the Elliot Lake Wildcats minor hockey program.
The 17-year-old died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 17 in Spanish July 30th, 2016.
Each ball will be numbered and the closer to the pin, the bigger the winnings with the top prize being $5,000.
The ball-drop will follow the hockey teams’ golf tournament to be held on Saturday, August 28th.
Money raised from the ball drop will be divided between the Connor Pelletier-Commanda Memorial Fund and the Red Wings.
Tickets are $10 each.
People can go here to purchase tickets online and to get full details and a form to submit their contact information. Ticket buyers will be able to make e-transfers for their ticket purchases at [email protected].
