Hughes on residential schools

The MP for Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing says many of the recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission are not new to New Democrats.  Carol Hughes says the commission’s findings into residential schools for First Nation children are issues the NDP have raised consistently.  Hughes says many of today’s survivors from those schools still experience health problems.  She says the feds need to step up and provide quality healthcare in order for this group to get better.
