The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon has appointed Julie Lamoureux, a former Elliot Lake resident, as Principal at École Ste-Thérèse in Val Thérèse starting on August 18, 2021.
Education director, Paul Henry says she has been working in the field of education since 1999 including stints in Whitby, Barrie and Penetanguishene.
He adds she was also a vice-principal from 2015 to the present.
Henry feels she will be a positive asset as principal especially with her specialization in mathematics and sciences.
