Blind River Community Improvement Program a boon for businesses

Businesses in Blind River have access to the Community Improvement Program to upgrade their store fronts.

Blind River Chamber of Commerce president Garnet Young says the program provides up to 50% financial support where businesses work at their own pace to install windows, upgrade their facades and signage as well as other improvements.

Young adds the improvements include the downtown and any business located within eyesight along Causley Street.

To date, there have been 10 submissions with applications impacting 13 businesses.
