The Pride flag has been raised in Elliot Lake.
City Mayor Dan Marchisella raised the flag on Friday officially proclaiming Pride Week in the city.
He says with COVID-19 events have been scaled down this year but marking the week is important in recognizing the diversity of the city.
The public is encouraged to find its own way to celebrate diversity and to note that it is the 40th anniversary since Pride Toronto was legally recognized creating the movement across Canada.
