Ford is recalling 6612-thousand Explorer S-U-Vs across North America, because roof rail covers could detach from the vehicle.
The recall covers 2016 to 2019 models, of which more than 34,000 were sold in Canada.
So far, no accidents or injuries have been reported in connection with the problem.
Ford will begin notifying customers by the end of June.
