La Renaissance teachers Integrate creativity and ingenuity into science education

Before the recent return to online learning in March, Grade 4 students at École catholique La Renaissance in Espanola built musical instruments as part of their science class to strengthen their learning of sound.

Communication director Paul de la Riva says working in small groups, the students were able to plan, prepare, and make an instrument that they could later use to play music for friends in the class.

And Grade 5 students had to assemble materials at home that would be powerful enough to build a bridge with great success.

De la Riva adds the students continue to do well in the virtual learning environment.
