Festival Boreal cancelled once again

One of Northern Ontario’s premier events has been cancelled for the second time due to the pandemic.

For the second year in a row, Northern Lights Festival Boréal has announced the cancellation of the traditional outdoor festival in Sudbury’s Bell Park, which was set for July 8th to 11th this year.

The organizers sought the input of various health agencies as well as the Canadian Live Music Association in making their final decision.

The cancellation was made because the health of participants is the highest priority.

Instead, the 50th edition of Northern Lights Festival Boreal has been moved ahead for July of 2022.

Organizers are continuing to offer ticket deferrals to those who have chosen to hold onto their tickets from 2020.
