Ontario adds over 3,000 new COVID-19 cases

Ontario is reporting over 3,000 new COVID-19 cases.

The province added 3,065 cases Tuesday with sixty-nine per cent in the hotspots  around the GTHA, Ottawa and Niagara.

Eight more people have died with the death toll in Ontario now at 7,458.

The recovery rate is at 91 per cent.

Test positivity, the percentage of tests coming back positive, is the highest it’s been since early January at 8.9 per cent.

Over 37,000 tests were done in the last 24 hours and over 76,000 vaccines were given.
