Despite heavy rains, France Gélinas, the MPP for Nickel Belt, joined a car caravan Sunday afternoon, March 28th, to show support for the students and faculty of Laurentian University.
She says it is important that the community show its support for the educational institution, not only as a vital part of the community but to the economy of Northern Ontario.
Laurentian University Faculty Association was joined by students, staff and supporters as part of the Save Our Sudbury – Sauvons Sudbury campaign.
Laurentian University is in the midst of insolvency proceedings and has until the end of April to come up with a restructuring plan to present to the courts.
