Lecce on learning

The Minister of Education says the overwhelming message from parents is that online learning needs to be expanded.

Minister Stephen Lecce spoke with the Vista National News Desk and explained that more will be known about the province’s plan for school in September in the “coming weeks.”

While a report from the website Daily Hive reports 18 percent of schools in Ontario have had at least one COVID 19 case, Lecce is looking at it from a glass is half full perspective.

Lecce says that keeping schools open is “paramount” in supporting the development of youth and their mental health.

He says Ontario has been at the forefront when it comes to keeping our students safe.
