The Special Investigations Unit has taken over a domestic disturbance case in the Municipality of Huron Shores.
The unit says in late February, just after 7:00 pm, East Algoma OPP officers responded to a domestic disturbance and a 60-year-old person from Huron Shores was charged with assault, break & enter, uttering threats, mischief and breach.
The accused was released on bail, but their name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
As a result of the interaction between the accused and the officers, the SIU took over the case yesterday and will not make any further comment until their investigation is complete.
