A major milking facility is now in operation in the Massey area.
Borealis Dairy Farm is owned and operated by Keith, Dianne, and Logan Emiry, which was incorporated in June of last year.
The trio built a new barn and are now milking 65 Holstein cows twice a day with the herd also including heifers and young calves.
Keith says the barn features sand-bedded stalls for the animals’ comfort and a 16-cow milking parlour.

The operation provides milk to local dairies throughout the Sudbury District and plans are in the works for an open house later in the year if COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
He adds the family is also looking forward to hosting 4-H club meetings on-site as well.
