Tax services are being made available for low-income earners

United Way Centraide North East Ontario in partnership with Canada Revenue Agency, is gearing up to assist low-income earners file their income tax returns virtually through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.

Starting February 16th, qualifying individuals can register online to have their income tax returns filed at no charge.

The program launches on March 1st and will run virtually until April 30th.

Individuals wishing to register for the program are encouraged to do so online by visiting uwcneo.com. For individuals that cannot register online, a message can be left on the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program telephone line by calling 705-560-3330 ext. 210. A volunteer will return your call to complete the registration.
