Public Health Sudbury & Districts has achieved an important milestone in fighting COVID-19.
Medical officer of health Dr. Penny Sutcliffe says by immunizing all residents of area long-term care and Elders’ lodges, the agency has met the provincial target date of February 10th.
She says over 17-hundred individuals were immunized with their first dose of the Moderna vaccine and some residents including those at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home have received their second.
The second doses for all other residents will be scheduled over the coming weeks.
