Investigator report on Laurentian University expected in six to eight weeks

A report with the focus of restoring Laurentian University’s economic footing is expected to take up to two months to complete.

The educational institution filed for credit protection at the beginning of the month.

Post-secondary minister Ross Romano says once the report is received, the government will decide what the next steps will be.

The university continues to operate on a day-to-day basis under the protection of the federal Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act.
