Drinking water advisory in Nairn Centre

Public Health Sudbury and Districts has issued a drinking water advisory effective immediately for all residents of the town of Nairn Centre.
If you take your water from the municipal system, you should not be using it for anything.

Boiling the water may not make it safe for drinking, and bottled water should be used.

The water can be used for laundry and bathing excluding small children who could swallow the water.
The Health Unit says the loss of water pressure possibly created conditions that compromised the safety of the drinking water and will notify the municipality and residents when the advisory is being lifted.

It is possible that the loss of water pressure created conditions that compromised the safety of the drinking water, so the advisory is in place as a precaution.
