Heavily redacted report on Payette

The investigation into reports of workplace harassment at the Governor-General’s residence says dozens of employees described incidents of yelling, screaming, aggressive conduct, and public humiliation.

The heavily-censored report, released last night, says the vast majority of the 92 civil servants interviewed raised concerns about the toxic nature of the workplace.

However, the third-party investigation does not name the source of the aggressive behaviour.

Governor-General Julie Payette and her chief of staff resigned last week after the report was delivered to the federal government.
