Wiikwemkoong family saying goodbye – Melissa Cooper

The firekeepers are on-site at Buzwah Church in Wiikwemkoong for the public to pay their respects to community member Kristin Cooper who began her spirit journey in the early morning hours on New Year’s Eve.

Her relative Melissa says Kristin’s parents, Juanita Cooper and William Bondy, need a bit of help in covering the unexpected funeral costs and any donation to a Go Fund Me she has set up would be greatly appreciated.

She adds Kristin’s family are gathered at the Buzwah Church at this time while a Sacred Fire burns for her.

Community visitation is today with burial to follow Thursday.

Kristin was 34.

Melissa adds the Go Fund Me page will cover the unexpected funeral costs, such as casket chosen, lengthened Buzwah Church rental fees and so on.  Any amount you feel you could personally contribute would be greatly appreciated to help meet the goal.
She says for those that knew of Kristen’s artistic passions and her unique personality the family encourages them to please reach out to anyone of her family members during this time.  The families are gathered at the Buzwah Church at this time.

Chi-Miigwetch in advance for your kindness and generous support to Kristen’s parents during this difficult time.
