Wellington Mowry Memorial Bursary established at Espanola High

A bursary in memory of a former student and a long-time employee of Espanola High School is in the process of being established.

Paul Camillo, a former principal of Espanola High, says Wellington Mowry, commonly known as Welly, both attended and worked in the maintenance department of Espanola High School.

Camillo says the bursary will be established in his memory to acknowledge his support of the school, its students and maintenance, something he was immensely proud of.

Camillo adds the bursary will be presented at the high school’s annual graduation next year

Mowry died on November 24th.

Camillo adds all friends, relatives, former students, and staff are invited to contribute to this endeavour.

Donations can be made at any local Rainbow District School or sent directly to the Rainbow District School Board, 408 Wembley Drive, Sudbury, Ontario P3E 1P2.

Cheques can be made out to the Rainbow District School Board Bursary fund or Espanola High School in the name of Wellington Mowry Bursary.

Donations of twenty dollars or more will be issued a tax receipt upon request.
