An Espanola student is being acknowledged at the national level with a prestigious award for her academic excellence.
Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon communications officer, Paul de la Riva says a 2020 graduate from École secondaire catholique La Renaissance in Espanola has received accolades from Governor General Julie Payette.
He says Christen Ramsay is the recipient of the Governor General’s Academic Medal for the 2019-2020 academic year graduating from Grade 12 with the highest average.
Due to COVID-19, Ramsay was unable to be presented the award in person, but did receive a letter, certificate, commemorative pin and medal from Governor General Payette.
