The union representing designated early childhood educators and the Rainbow District School Board has reached a tentative deal.
Board Chair Doreen Dewar says the deal is between the board and the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, which represents the educators.
She says the new deal is retroactive to September 1st, 2019, and expires August 31st, 2022.
She adds the deal affects educators serving the Sudbury, Espanola, and Manitoulin area.
Dewar says she expects ratification to take place within the next couple of weeks.
