Support sought for new gazebo in Blind River

Sellers Beach in Blind River will have a nice meeting place in the new year with the support of the community.

President of the Blind River Rotary Club Eva Whitmore, says members have been hard at work raising $25,000 to build a roofed gazebo in memory of a long-time club member and community volunteer.

Whitmore says Bea Jensen passed way earlier this year and was not only a well-loved teacher, but also known for her giving nature supporting various clubs and charities over the years.

She says they still need $5,000 to finish the project, which will be a fully accessible roofed gazebo for the enjoyment of all.
