Testing caught up and a look at the numbers – one case in Sudbury

The provincial government says they’re all caught up with the backlog of COVID-19 tests.

Premier Doug Ford says they’re now ready to do as many as 50-thousand tests a day, in case numbers surge during the winter.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says the end of the backlog means most people are getting their results back within 48 hours, important to those who want to go back to work or school.

Ontario recorded 790 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, down slightly from Tuesday.

There were also nine new deaths reported.

Closer to home, Public Health Sudbury & Districts is reporting one case in the city, Case #114.
