It’s what parents want to know – Halloween a go?

The province’s chief medical officer of health says there’s no reason people living outside the three hotspots can’t celebrate Halloween, but with caution.

Doctor David Williams says there should be no big gatherings to mark the day, and that trick-or-treating be done outside with everyone wearing a proper face mask.

He also says hand sanitizer should be used frequently by those handing out, and receiving, treats.

Williams is promising specific guidance in the next few days for those living in the hotspots of Toronto, Peel Region, and Ottawa.
