Day of Action for long-term care homes planned across Ontario

The Ontario Health Coalition is planning a Day of Action across Ontario advocating for better care in Ontario’s long-term care homes.

In a press release, the coalition says the Ford government has not done enough with its recent announcements and is pushing for the government to end for-profit long-term care.

The coalition states over 1,900 Ontario residents and staff have died of COVID-19 in long-term care and the government must step forward to recruit and train ore staff as well as improve pay and working conditions.

The Day of Action in the local area is slated for 11:00 am tomorrow morning outside Pioneer Manor in Sudbury.
