Laurentian University has decided its program suspension will remain in place to give the Academic Planning Subcommittee of the Senate time to review responses from individuals and departments.
Communications Officer Shaun Malley says the subcommittee met late last week to discuss the issue of the suspension of admissions to 17 programs announced by Laurentian at the end of July.
He says at its meeting last Friday, committee members received and considered the supporting information relating to each individual program and after deliberations, passed a motion for the various departments to submit information about the quality of their individual programs, as per the Laurentian Institutional Quality Assurance Process.
Malley did not provide a timeline as to when the information will be submitted for review to the subcommittee.
