Smile Cookie campaign the best across North Shore corridor
The annual Smile Cookie campaign by Tim Hortons would not be the success it is without the support of business and employee groups which preorder the tasty treat. Every cookie costs a loonie, and the North Shore communities raised nearly $30,000 this year ... that's a lot of cookie dough! Photo by Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation
This year’s Smile Cookie campaign was astounding according to Tim Hortons franchisee Denis Lefebvre, breaking all previous records.
His three franchises raised funds for local charities.
Espanola and McKerrow raised $15,936 for the Espanola Helping Hand Food Bank while the Blind River outlet raised $8,612 for the North Shore Health Network.
Nancy Wyman, the owner of the Elliot Lake outlet says they also had a great week raising a total of $5,086, which will go to the Elliot Lake Lions Club to assist them with their charity work.
