A parcel of land has been sold by the City of Elliot Lake but with the provision that storage units must be built on the site by October of next year.
City CAO Daniel Gagnon says council agreed to the sale of just over a quarter of a hectare of land on Timber Road.
However, he adds, the deal is contingent on the buyer H. J. Roy Gudgeon building 20 indoor storage units on the site by October 8th of next year.
Gagnon says the city sold the land for $12,500.
The closing date to finalize the sale is this October 9th.
