Ontario adds 313 new COVID-19 cases

Ontario is reporting over 300 new COVID-19 cases.
Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Christine Elliott tweeted Monday morning that the province recorded 313 new cases over the last day.
It’s the largest increase the province has seen since early June.
Elliott says nearly 30,000 tests were completed over the last day.
She says 78 per cent of Monday’s cases are from three regions, with 112 in Toronto, 71 in Peel and 60 in Ottawa.
All other public health units have fewer than 10 new cases, except for York with 13 cases.
Fifteen public health units have no new cases.
Elliott says 67 per cent of new cases are in people under 40.
The total caseload is at 44,817 with 89.2 per cent resolved.
One more person has died from COVID-19 in Ontario, bringing the death toll to 2,816.
