Manitoulin OPP say the investigation is continuing into the possible drowning of a Manitoulin Island man.
Manitoulin OPP Constable Michelle Coulombe says police and emergency services responded to a possible drowning on Pike Lake in Howland Township on Saturday evening.
She says an investigation revealed the man had been seen fishing, but a short time later witnesses saw the boat drifting.
She says they subsequently found the person who was not wearing a lifejacket floating in the water.
Coulombe says the man was transported to hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced deceased.
He has been identified as 28-year-old Bradley Alston of Little Current.
Coulombe says a post mortem has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
Foul play is not suspected.
