The Liberals are jumping all over Tory leader Tim Hudak for his decision not to be part of a Northern Ontario leaders’ debate next Monday. The debate is in Thunder Bay but Hudak says he can’t make it because he can’t fit it into his schedule. That’s got the two Liberal MPPs for the Thunder Bay region reminding voters of comments Hudak made in the last election. In 2011 the Progressive Conservative leader said debating northern issues is critical but the Liberals say he doesn’t mean it otherwise he’d be at Monday’s event.
