Manitoulin OPP is seeking more information following a Sables-Spanish Rivers Township man being charged with attempted murder.
OPP Constable Renee Lalonde says the police received two separate 911 calls about a weapon on Saturday shortly after 12:30 pm.
She says with the assistance of the Sagamok-Anishnawbek First Nation police, a 56-year-old man was arrested with the incident and charged with one count of attempted murder.
Lalonde adds anyone with information is asked to call Detective Constable Janet Vardon at the Espanola detachment.
Further charges are pending and the man is to appear in Sudbury bail court today.
