The reconstruction of a portion of Highway 6 at the sound end of Espanola is underway.
Town CAO Cynthia Townsend says reconstruction of the main thoroughfare will take place between McDonald’s Restaurant and McCulloch Drive.
She says the project will take a few months to complete and adds the only other capital project the town had planned to carry out this year is the replacement of the major water main supply line from the source to the town’s water plant.
However, Townsend says the town has yet to receive provincial and federal approvals, so they have to wait and see if the project moves ahead.
