Positive case of COVID-19 at Manitoulin Lodge

Under the COVID-19 protocols, Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay has declared an outbreak of COVID-19 after a staff member tested positive for the virus.

Administrator Susan Farren says testing of staff and residents took place on May 11th with the one staff member testing positive.

That staffer is in self-isolation at home.

The case is the 63rd in the Sudbury and Manitoulin Districts reported to Public Health Sudbury & Districts.

Algoma Public Health is also reporting one more case in Sault Ste. Marie.

That individual is also in self-isolation.
