Manitoulin OPP arrested a Baldwin resident after being threatened by a man brandishing a chain saw. OPP Constable Marie Ford says police received a 911 call on Saturday from a residence in Baldwin Township.
She says when police arrived, they were confronted by a man with a chain saw.
Ford says the officers withdrew and tactical squads were called in including SWAT and canine units.
She adds eventually the man, a 42-year-old from the township, was arrested and charged without incident.
He faces one count each of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and uttering threats.
