Manitoulin OPP investigation double marine fatality

Manitoulin OPP is investigating what is believed to be the drowning of two local area men.

Constable Marie Ford says around 2:15 Saturday afternoon, police and members of the Billings Fire Department responded to a report of a deceased person floating near the shore of Mudge Bay
located near the Old Mill Road.

Ford says a second deceased person was found near the first.

She says the two had been fishing in their canoe when it capsizes and neither one was wearing a life jacket.

Ford adds the deceased have been identified as 29-year-old David Adamczak of Espanola and 31-year-old Kyle Jokinen of Whitefish.
The Forensics Pathology Service and the Office of the Chief Coroner are continuing the investigation
