Mississauga First Nation police lay threats charge

A threat on social media has led to the arrest of a Mississauga First Nation woman.

East Algoma OPP Constable Bev Gauthier says a member of the Mississauga First Nation Police Service responded to a threats complaint in the community.

She says the police verified a message was received by the complainant on social media on the evening of April 21st allegedly threatening physical harm.

Gauthier says as a result on May 3rd a 20-year-old woman from Mississauga First Nation was charged with one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
She is to appear in Blind River Court on July 2nd.
