Ontario Northland reducing bus service due to COVID-19

Bus services provided by Ontario Northland across Ontario will be reduced because of the lack of passengers.
According to the release, the company’s Pandemic Response Committee ensures the service meets all COVID-19 protocols.
That includes increased cleaning, limiting seating capacity and passenger health screening prior to boarding.
However, with the drop in people travelling, the company has also decided to reduce the frequency of motor-coach service on selected routes to Toronto, Ottawa, North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins.
Passengers who have reservations on a cancelled route will be notified and offered an alternative travel time or be reimbursed.
The committee also encourages passengers to wear a mask that covers both the mouth and the nose because of the difficulties of meeting physical distancing protocols on a bus.
