Shots Fired at Residence on MR 80 in Val Caron

Shortly after 4:00 a.m. this morning, Monday, April 20, 2020, we received a call regarding shots fired at a
residence on MR 80 near 5th Street in Val Caron. No injuries were reported, however, there were three
individuals inside the home at the time of the incident.
Officers arrived on the scene a short time later, securing the residence and shutting down MR 80 for a short period
of time in order to collect physical evidence as a result of what is believed to have been a drive-by shooting.
Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division, Forensics Unit and Patrol Operations remain on scene as
the investigation into this matter is ongoing.
This is believed to be a targeted and isolated incident. We do not believe there to be any threat to the general
public.
