Elliot Lake needs a hospital upgrade, says Marchisella

Elliot Lake mayor Dan Marchisella plans to be a squeaky wheel when it comes to getting a new hospital.

Marchisella will keep pushing for a new health facility and hopes the Local Health Integration network agrees the community needs a new hospital.

The mayor says the current hospital falls short in many areas.

Isadore Day, the chief of the Serpent River First Nation supports Elliot Lake’s bid for a new hospital.

The present facility is nearly 60 years old.
