Ontario investing $200 million – local communities benefit

The Ontario government will be providing millions of dollars to communities throughout Ontario for repairing or building infrastructure.
Premier Doug Ford and Laurie Scott, Minister of Infrastructure, announced a $200 million investment to help 424 small, rural and northern communities late last week.

Scott adds the funding is part of the ongoing commitment to support Ontario municipalities.

Several local communities will benefit, including the City of Elliot Lake with just over $322,000, Espanola with $279,000, and the Town of Blind River $552,000 among others.
