Fish Egg Program at Franco-Ouest

Students at Ecole Franco-Ouest in Espanola will be taking part in a local fish egg program. Teacher Stephen Montgomery says the school received 15,000 trout eggs last week. He says Roland Frappier from Micro-Hatcheries Inc. brought the eggs to Franco-Ouest to carry out the fish planting program. He adds, on their return, students will care for the eggs until they hatch and then release them as fingerlings into local rivers to grow the fish population around Espanola.
