Labour battle continues – teachers and government – NO one day strike in Algoma, Manitoulin or Sudbury districts

As public high school teachers prepare to strike tomorrow at eight boards across the province, elementary teachers are ramping up their work-to-rule campaign today.
That means teachers at public primary schools will not be planning any new field trips, won’t be collecting money for school activities and won’t take part in any educational opportunities
presented by their boards.
Negotiations with the province continue.

Meanwhile, members of the Ontario English Catholic Teacher’s Association have received their no board report and will be in a legal strike position by December 21st.

The Toronto District School Board, which is the biggest in the province, is among the nine English-language school boards targeted by the walkout along with schools in Barrie, Brantford, Belleville, Fort Frances, Lindsay and North Bay.

Students and teachers at English-language school boards in Peel region, and York regions, Ottawa, Durham, London, Waterloo or Hamilton will not be targeted by a full withdrawal of services.
